Ho-Ho-Holiday Cheer Returns: Free Holiday Events Return to Archer

CHEYENNE, WY – November 10, 2025 – The holidays are just around the corner, and Laramie County Events is delighted to bring back the Spirit of Giving campaign. A series of free, family‑friendly events designed to light up the season, connect our community, and support local families in need.
“This is our chance to wrap Cheyenne in the spirit of kindness,” said Bridget Parish, Assistant Director for Laramie County Events. “From the coat drive to breakfast with Santa to our indoor drive‑in, we hope families come together, make memories.”
What’s Happening
Here’s a breakdown of the fun and meaningful activities happening this December:
Coat Drive — December 1 through 20
Bring new or gently used winter coats, hats, gloves and boots to the lobby of the Event Center at Archer (3801 Archer Parkway) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily. Donations benefit youth in our local school districts.
Breakfast with Santa — Saturday, December 20
Join us at the M&K Building (3967 Archer Parkway) for a free hot breakfast, festive music and a visit with Santa. Two sessions: 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Families MUST register online (opens Monday, December 2 at 10 a.m.). Each session is limited to 250 attendees.
Indoor Drive‑In Movie featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas — Saturday, December 20
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., movie begins 7:00 p.m., at the Event Center at Archer. We’ll show The Nightmare Before Christmas in a unique indoor “drive‑in” or blanket/ lawn‑chair seating area. Up to 60 vehicles may register; “lawn seating” is walk‑in (no registration required). Complimentary popcorn & Pepsi drinks (plus concessions available). Free and open to all.
How to Get Involved
- Donate winter wear items any day between December 1–20 during lobby hours.
- Register (starting December 2 at 10 a.m.) for the Breakfast with Santa and/or the Indoor Drive‑In Movie vehicle space.
- Bring your family. These are free events designed for all ages, no cost to attend.
- Spread the word. Cheer comes easier when the whole community shares in it.
